Gluten free chocolate cups with dry roasted peanuts was a simple treat I made for my father and my brother’s partner last Christmas. It is easy, delicious and only takes a few minutes to make a bunch of them. My daughter’s let me know they would not mind some too. I made several batches. It was fun.
Chocolate Cups with Dry Roasted Peanuts are Gluten Free!
We fortunately are a dedicated gluten free facility. If I post a recipe it is guaranteed to be able to be made fully gluten free. This one is no exception. Making something gluten free begins with sourcing ingredients that are gluten free and are not made in a facility with gluten or a shared line that processes ingredients with gluten.
This recipe is again, simple. It starts with wonderful high quality melting chocolate and ends with a family favorite – Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts
I am a little old school in the kitchen. To melt the chocolate I avoid the microwave at all costs. Chocolate is sacred to me and I trust only a bain marie method for melting chocolate. A pan, a little bit of water and a bowl of chocolate on top. I let the water do it’s magic as I get everything else ready. I stir it occasionally while I am chopping fruits or nuts and putting mini cupcake liners into silicone molds.
Gluten Free Chocolates Cups for Christmas
I will admit to loving chocolate. On bad days, my brain craves it. Dark delicious chocolate is normally dairy free as well as gluten free and I can honestly consume up to 90% dark chocolate. In my twenties I could not stomach dark chocolate many decades later, it is by far my favorite type of chocolate.
I could not comprehend the complexity of chocolate as a young person. But dark chocolate comes with complexity and I adore it. Hints of fruits i never knew chocolate could carry. I became a convert and I include that complexity whenever i can in the bakery. We have a chocolate tart recipe that I got from YouTuber Gabie Kook that i found a wonderful rich dark chocolate for. It is amazing and I will eventually get the recipe on the blog.
Are Planters Products Actually Gluten Free?
Planters are allergy conscious in their approach to product development. They are not a company who shys away from direct questions about the ingredients and sub ingredients in their recipe. They try to be very transparent in their labeling and they absolutely take it seriously.
If you have any quetions, I suggest you look at their own page on gluten – As I said, they are transparent about it.
Creating Our Second Gluten Free Cooking Video
We have been working on videos. It has been an effort just to find somewhere in the bakery to film. We set up a small dedicated studio and this is our second attempt to film something. We will eventually have a YOUTUBE channel, but for right now, we are only prepared to share it with our small, distinct audience.

It is short, incomplete and very basic. But we made it and that is an accomplishment in itself.
We also added the actual recipe to the post so that you have all the instructions you need to make this for a holiday treat for your family and friends. YUMMY!!
