Most bakeries have ovens. We ordered ours before we even closed on our new property. I tried to be proactive. I used to love Best Buy. Life in a pandemic is a little different than pre-pandemic, and our bakery is just one more nightmare story in a world of nightmare stories. Continue reading Where are our Ovens Best Buy?
Our gluten free Glens Falls Bakery is moving again. It is wonderful and amazing and overwhelming and more expensive than I would ever have wanted. When we moved to Glens Falls two years ago, we had a mission. We were going to market ourselves to the local bakeries and eateries and get the word out that we existed. Continue reading Our Gluten Free Glens Falls Bakery – A Place to Call Home
I am back to share with you my dairy intolerance – an after effect of Celiac’s Disease. Optimistic me thought 4 years ago when I was diagnosed that I would simply steer clear of gluten and I would heal. How naive I feel about myself. Continue reading Dairy Intolerance – an after effect of Celiac’s Disease
Divinely Gluten Free is MOVING! Oh My Goodness, whose idea was this? After months of a horrible kitchen remodel that was just not meant to be, We have decided to move our operations 50 miles north. Why? I am not totally sure, but the universe appears to be very much behind it, and when the universe speaks, I do kind of listen. Continue reading Divinely Gluten Free is MOVING!
We lost our website about two weeks ago. It’s an insane story that should never have happened, but it has made us look at things and evaluate everything and so, it has become a brand new day here at Divinely Gluten Free. When we first found out that as a family we had Celiac Disease, we were in shock, as most families are. The prospect of changing our lives so drastically was overwhelming. What was even scarier was the realization that most gluten free products that replace gluten based ingredients were replaced with rice. Continue reading Arsenic Levels In Rice are Why We Don’t Use Rice in Our Gluten Free Baking Mixes
Of course gluten sensitivity is real, and as an individual with lifelong health problems that were never believed by a single doctor (each who told me I clearly had a leaky gut), it is so hard to see people told that a problem is not a problem. My experience caused me to become a healer. My body was so compromised I turned to the only thing I could to keep me alive. I turned to healing my body without a diagnosis. It was only moderately successful. Continue reading Yes! Non Celiac Gluten Sensitivity is Real
This has been quite a year. I didn’t just come off of wheat, I also had to come off of otc pain relievers of all kinds. Ginger has become my greatest whole food friend because ginger’s impact on pain has become very clear to me. As an individual with a run away autoimmune response from undiagnosed Celiac Disease, I know what the autoimmune system can do to a body. Continue reading Ginger’s Impact on Pain & Autoimmune Responses
I grew up on whole foods and realized the importance of what I ate the first semester I was in college. I found out quickly that my body did not do well on processed foods and was grateful that my campus had a salad bar for two of our three meals per day. I was always aware, even with undiagnosed Celiac’s, that I needed only vegetables, lean protein, bananas, and one can of Tab per day (yes, I drank TAB).
