Garlic Aioli Dipping Sauce Recipe

I grew up with Aioli and never knew it was aioli. I learned from watching cooking shows that my mother used aioli’s for salads and sauces. So when we needed a dipping sauce to go with our Gluten Free Crab Hush Puppy Recipe, we made one. Here is our Garlic Aioli Dipping sauce recipe which would work with far more than hush puppies.

Warning – This Garlic Aioli Dipping Sauce Recipe Includes Truffles

There is a love of truffles in any kitchen you find me in. Mostly because I love truffles. Black truffles. Adore them. We use truffle salt and truffle oil in this recipe to just up the flavor a little. It adds a richness that is not present without the truffle.

Truffle is not for everyone, so handle with care. If however, you like truffle, then go for it. I try to sneak truffle into just about everything. Try it on some popcorn and you will be ruined for truffle less popcorn for all eternity. Go ahead, I dare you.

Our Garlic Aioli Dipping Sauce Recipe pairs with many things. We also included black truffle in our salt and oil to add some richness to the flavor of the aioli. We love this recipe. It gets a little addictive really.

Course: Appetizer

Cuisine: Mediterranean

Keyword: aioli

Servings: 6 people

Author: Divinely Gluten Free

Ingredients

  • 2large Cloves of Garlic
  • 1/4 tsp Truffle Salt
  • 1/2 cupMayonnaise
  • 2tbsp Black Truffle Oil
  • 1tbsp Fresh Lemon Juice

Instructions

  1. Peel garlic and put through a garlic press into a bowl
  2. Add truffle salt and truffle oil to the bowl and mix and mash until it is almost like a paste.
  3. Add lemon juice and Mayonnaise and stir until well combined.
  4. Pour into small ramekins and refrigerate until needed.

An aioli is a wonderful thing. Garlic and oil and salt. Amazing. This one as I said is a little addictive once we added the truffle. If you really want some good eats, put this on some Roast Beef. So, if I come in to the test kitchen tomorrow and see there is no aioli in it, I know that Samantha has taken it home and put it on her roast beef sandwich, which she threatened to do as we made and tried it.
