I Drink GT’s Kombucha to Boost My Immune System

I drink GT’s Kombucha to boost my immune system. Some days it is hard to believe, but I do. Every day I drink one 16 ounce sparkling effervescent bottle of Kombucha.

Someone suggested kombucha to me in the 90’s. At the time, I had a job, three special needs daughters, a difficult marriage and a house to run. There was no time to brew kombucha. I have no regrets about passing this up. I wasn’t ready and GT was not pumping out kombucha that is easy to access and insanely Alive. Yes. This stuff is absolutely alive.

Kombucha to Boost the Immune System?

Although I am diligent in my gluten free diet (ie – i take no chances), I am six years since diagnosis and I am finally seeing progress in my healing. It has taken a very long time. However, progress does not mean healed and I still have no real immune system. UGH!

My daughter saw GT Dave on the internet and wanted to try kombucha. I of course bought her one. She asked if I wanted to try it. I smelled it and felt like that was not something I wanted to find, but I found the scent intriguing. Next run to Aldi’s and I purchased an Aldi’s brand Kombucha to try.

It was not bad. I actually enjoyed it. Having transitioned to drinking mostly water a few years back, I missed the carbonation. I bought my first GT’s kombucha not long after and am now a convert.

My favorite GT Kombucha Flavors

Yes, I absolutely have favorites. They are all pretty amazing and I love to let them sit out for a few hours prior to consumption. However, I have to admit that the New Unity Flavor is my absolute current favorite. Here is my top 5 listing of delicious GT’s Kombucha:

  • Unity Kombucha
  • Lemon Berry Kombucha
  • Golden Pineapple Kombucha
  • Gingerberry Kombucha
  • Trilogy Kombucha

I cannot get enough. It never occurred to me that I would be reduced to constantly looking at kombucha bottles and trying new ones when they come out. It’s a fact. I scour the kombucha section every time I shop.

Not All Kombucha is the Same

Don’t be like me. Learn from my mistakes. When we put the bid on this facility to purchase and renovate, I tried to save some money. Like the idiot I can be, I started looking at the cheaper kombucha products out there. After six months of constant high-quality kombucha, I cheaped out. Freaked out about the costs to build and furnish a kitchen I started purchasing the more inexpensive products.

It took all of 6 weeks for me to find the error of my ways. The proof to me was in my health, which tanked just as we needed to physically move to the new residence/home bakery. I did more research on kombucha and what was really good for me.

My journey taught me that the more palatable it is, the less likely it is to be good honest unpasteurized kombucha. Research showed that pasteurization was killing the cultures that had been helping my body stay healthy. Without these healthy live cultures, I was no longer getting the boost I needed.

Get Used to the Buch!

What did I do? I got back on the good stuff immediately. As I reintroduced myself to authentic alive kombucha, I learned to love it. It is an acquired taste. Once I stopped fighting the intensity, I learned to love the very strong intense flavors GT makes. It can be said that I look forward to the tang.

If I leave it out for a few hours I find that the intensity grows, the effervescence increases and it genuinely feels alive and refreshing. I can never turn back. Most importantly, I have taken the biggest gain in gut healing as I have in years. Nothing so far has done what authentic kombucha has done.

Thank you GT Dave, for standing up t0 the systems that be and providing the planet with such an amazing product. You are literally saving lives. I appreciate mine and I know this product is making my future years possible.

Good Kombucha on a Budget

If you are on a budget and want to try kombucha, I have found Aldi supermarkets have a brand of kombucha that is alive and full of health benefits. They only have a few flavors (I love the berry one) and come in at $2.45 a piece (at the time of this writing – 10/22). Although I don’t put it on par with GT, I find it to be an incredible product that is highly affordable. I will pick one or two up every time I am in Aldi to supplement the GT’s I get.

Budget GT’s Kombucha? Yes it exists. Try to get the variety pack. It saves approx 30-40 cents off the bottles and ensures you have them easily at hand to drink. I get mine at Walmart and they bring it right to my car!

As a Celiac, I understand the dangers of being undiagnosed for so long. There are so many products out there that offer hope, but kind of give nothing. It has been amazing to find something that truly helps me fight off disease and improve the quality of my gut lining. I have brewed it myself, but honestly at the end of a long day in the kitchen testing and baking and fulfilling orders (thank you all!!!) it is far easier to trust Dave’s GT and grab a bottle of kombucha to boost my immune system on my way upstairs at night.
